Global Electric Motorcars manufactured its first all-electric vehicle in 1998. That same year the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration designated a new class of motor vehicle; the Low-Speed Vehicle or LSV. Since then over 50,000 vehicles have been manufactured and are found on college & university campuses, police departments, city governments, corporate campuses and the garages of environmentally conscious drivers all over the United States, Canada, and Europe.
